Gendarmerie provides local radio-awareness tools, deliberate NFC inspection, your own journey history and optional consented location sharing. Use these features only with the permissions and consent required for your circumstances. Do not use the service to track another person without their consent, bypass access controls, harass people or interfere with devices.
Radio names and identifiers can be incomplete, shared, randomized or spoofed. Classification and unusual-device alerts are observations to review, not proof of identity, malicious intent or physical proximity. Radio signal strength does not measure RF dose, medical safety, bearing, distance, height or a navigation route. NFC content is untrusted; offline review cannot certify a link or device as safe.
Sharing is optional. Anyone with an active unprotected URL can access the latest shared point; a PIN-protected URL additionally requires its PIN. Links and PINs can be forwarded. Keep them private and revoke them when no longer needed. Permissions, battery settings, connectivity and the operating system affect freshness. Gendarmerie is not an emergency response service, and uninterrupted tracking or delivery of notifications is not guaranteed.
You can stop observation, pause journey recording, revoke sharing links, remove shared cloud location, sign out or delete your cloud account. Local history, cloud information, advanced logs and exported copies have separate deletion controls and scopes. Read the Privacy Policy for the information processed, service providers and retention details.
Applicable platform terms and the software licenses supplied with the app continue to apply. Open-source notices are provided with the software; these service notes do not replace their licenses. Apple and Google provide their own account authentication under their policies.
